Our helper
I got home surprisingly early today from client meetings and got to soak in some extra hang time with these guys. Darren was at a work event so I had them solo. I told Harper I needed her to be my helper with Royce. The stars aligned (bellies were full enough and naps had been long enough), and we had no tantrums and an ultra helpful big sister.
“Smile for Gladys! She got you this dress!”
Almost...
The night ended with both of them snuggled on me in the chair in royce’s room. Misty-eyed mama moment.

Morning Imaginings
I had to leave early for work this morning and I got home last night, which meant I only got glimpses of the munchkins in the past 24 hours. I asked Darren to send me some pics of the “beautiful dress” that Harper described to me on the phone as I walked into the office. He sent the below play-by-play, recounting Harper’s “phone call” with “Christian.”

Recent snapshots of this little slice of heaven we stumbled into on Conway Road. I caught up with a former colleague today and she asked what we’ve been up to and if we’ve been traveling. My response: “we just play in the neighborhood on weekends.”

Outdoor Weekend
This weekend provided a pretty exciting glimpse of what spring in suburbia has to offer.
We kicked it off with a Friday night porch hang...
On Saturday, we logged a full family trampoline session, movie lounge, and quick dip at the YMCA all before 11 am gymnastics class!
Followed by an afternoon bbq with friends and chariot rides.
And on Sunday, we wouldn’t let the weather deter us from some outdoor gardening!
It was the perfect combination of family and friend time with this increasingly entertaining duo. Excited to see what the months ahead have in store for us!
