We had ten lovely friends and colleagues over for dinner on Saturday night, which felt like a major accomplishment now that Harper is on the scene.

We got to show off the new table that Darren built:

We cooked a double batch of a long, slow pork ragu that allowed us to do the prep early so that we could juggle Harper's bedtime once our friends arrived (the recipe credit goes to my favorite, Dinner, A Love Story...thanks to Mika for introducing me to this gem).

Harper was the life of the party, of course (after an exploding diaper timed exactly with the first guests' arrival!). She was also a champ during her earlier-than-usual bath and bedtime.

Success! It was such a fun night and it felt like a post-baby milestone of sorts to pull something like this off as a family of four (Bruno counts!).
