Grambie Visit

My mom came down for some Harper bonding this week.  They put in some serious exercise time:

Harper truly perfected her new trick of actually focusing on a toy, reaching for it, and batting it around for an extended period of time.  She fell in love with her hippo...

...until the excitement got the best of her:

She also started proudly kicking her leg over in an attempt to roll over:

And... she found her thumb!

(On a side note, only a doting grandmother would insist that this new thumb discovery is somehow a sign that she is "advanced," but we'll go with it.)

Meanwhile, I got to do delightfully grown-up things like get my hair cut alone, run some errands alone, and eat a sandwich in a cafe alone.  It's amazing how liberating it felt to get out of the car in one fell swoop, with only my bag on my arm.

And, coming home to this could not have put a bigger smile on my face:

Feeling very grateful for all of our family time over the past few months.  This is one loved little lady.
