The great thing about this weekend was that Harper got to bond with a dear friend of ours (who lived down the hall from us our Freshman year), Heidi Baumgartner, aka Bomber. The not so great thing about this weekend was coming down with a stomach flu - one after the other - and learning quickly that parenting while sick is absolutely no joke. Luckily, having a child psychologist in the house meant that we had a pretty incredible co-parent to rely on as we hobbled through our days (who, incidentally, really knew how to cater to her audience by continuously commending all of Harper's developmental milestones). And, once I recovered, we were able to enjoy our official last ladies lunch of maternity leave. I was set to go back to work today but this illness has thrown a wrench in things, so stay tuned on that. Harper was glued to Bomber from the moment she arrived, and Bruno tried his best to get in on the cuddle time, too.
