Christmas Break

I really get the whole Christmas break thing now. Harper's daycare was closed so I took the week off. We caught up with old friends in NJ, Harper and I jetted up to Maine for some QT with the Reynolds, we packed in some super bonding with Max (who, incidentally, also transported is from Newark to DC- THANKS MAX), and had a few days of quality hang time with Dad and Barbara.  We celebrated New Years with great friends, met baby Niko Blanc, and discovered a new neighborhood breakfast gem with Maria and Jon. And we somehow managed to still take a breath and enjoy time as just us before gearing back up for our professional kick off of this new year.

I was reminded of how much this little one changes every week. She discovered trampolines. Her vocabulary doubled. She dropped her morning nap. She developed an obsession with soccer balls. She sprouted a molar. She now insists on feeding herself. With a utensil.

It seems that as we said goodbye to 2015, we also said goodbye to baby Harper. Toddler Harper is here to stay.
